The Beginning

Given my 10 years of experience teaching in a neighbourhood school, I have come to realise the difficulties students have in grasping concepts in Chemistry and Maths. I decided that the years spent in the school will be to develop ways to help students understand and at the same time, remember facts that they have learnt.

If you are a student or a parent reading this blog, you will agree with me that students are taught facts but not taught how to learn. Learning is different from understanding. For example, today in class you understand the process of fractional distillation of crude oil and the uses of each fraction. But it comes to writing an essay on how crude oil can be separated into its fractions, you are dumb-founded as you have a hard time recalling the fractions. Now here is where I come in and that is, to help students recall the facts or concepts......:)

Anyway, to learn more about these techniques and skills, come for my tuition and try my methods. Maximum 4 students per group tuition. Do not procrastinate! Start now!
[Note : A combination of hardwork and motivation are required for tutee to gain maximum benefit.]

Alongside with my tuition, I will compile Chemistry tidbits in my blog. Slowly, I will develop tidbits for Biology and other general science topics.

Enjoy learning!
